Educators today are navigating increased student needs while also managing significant professional stress and emotional demands. This interactive workshop introduces a trauma-responsive framework that helps educators understand how trauma and toxic stress affect student learning, behavior, and relationships while also strengthening educator resilience and well-being.
Participants will explore the foundations of trauma-responsive practice and learn practical strategies to build classroom environments that foster safety, trust, connection and engagement. The session will focus on actionable tools educators can implement immediately to support student regulation, strengthen student-teacher relationships, and reduce classroom escalation. The workshop also addresses educator well-being by introducing strategies that promote compassionate resilience, emotional regulation, and sustainable professional boundaries.
